The story I like to tell about how we went into this business, is that we would come up with all these business ideas over the years. John is the finance guy, so he would crunch the numbers. "Nope, that's not going to work..." On to the next idea. And so it went until we decided on a gift shop. In 2013, we launched an online store featuring gifts, handmade jewelry and unique handbags. Then, feeling that Cary, NC could use a unique gift shop, we decided to take our knowledge of products and sources from the online marketplace and open a local storefront. So in November 2014, we opened Lauralee Gifts, located in Cary, NC, at Tryon Village. The shop is named for our children, Laura, and Ben (Lee is his middle name). In 2019, we closed our brick and mortar location after 5 great years, and went exclusively online with our favorite products from our shop.
When we're not working, John and I love going to concerts, downtown Raleigh restaurants and events, and NC State football games. We are regular visitors to Boone, NC, where our kids attended Appalachian State University. We get down to Wrightsville Beach as often as we can, our home away from home!
We are family owned and locally operated.
